Victims, a Boy George diary tells the story of a song, the reasons behind its creation, and the historical period in which the whole thing was sung, lived and thought. The final result is a fictional secret diary fakely written by Culture Club's lead singer.
Through the song’s semantic fields, we explore Boy George's hypothetical outpouring about his clandestine relationship he had with the band's ex drummer, John Moss. The diary also serves as a j’accuse against the conformity and stereotypes of the time, encouraging the expression of one's inner world in all its uniqueness and strength — whatever it may be.
